Is your marketing working for you? If not did you know there are simple tips you could be implementing to get great results?
Marketing is vital for your small business. And to be really effective, it’s a good idea to use a combination of marketing methods. But if you’re anything like me, you’re busy enough as it is. You don’t have time to spend ages working on all different kinds of marketing and trying to work out what works best.
But fear not. It’s not about chaining yourself to your desk until you’ve written 52 weekly newsletters…
Savvy marketing is about working smarter, not harder.
So here are some simple tips for things you can do to give your marketing efforts the boost they need:
1. Review your website
Have you looked at your website recently? You know, really looked at. When was the last time you updated it? Could the copy do with a refresh? You need to make sure the text on your website is speaking to your ideal customer. Grab a cuppa and take a moment to look at your website and see if the copy is the best it can be or whether you could do with some fresh web copy. Even a few tweaks here and there can make a real difference.
2. Look at your social media strategy
You’ve probably read that social media can boost your business, but what can you do to make sure it’s really working for you? Are you making the most of social media management systems like Hootsuite, Tweetdeck and Buffer? Spend some time really thinking about what you are posting on social media and whether it’s working for you. Remember, you can post links to blog posts and articles, inspirational quotes, images, questions, customer queries, polls… Think about ways to incorporate all of these things. You should be capturing people’s email addresses when they visit your website. Do you have a free report or ebook on your website to encourage people to sign up to your list?
